Deal and Card Arrangement

The dealer distributes all the cards, with each player receiving a hand of 13 cards. Players then arrange their cards into four groups of 3, 3, 3, and 4 cards each.

Players and Cards

Hazari is designed for four players using a standard international 52-card pack. The ranking of cards from highest to lowest within each suit follows the sequence A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. Aces through Tens hold a value of 10 points each, while numeral cards from 2 to 9 carry a value of 5 points each. The cumulative value of the card pack is 360. The gameplay proceeds in a counter-clockwise direction.

Card Combinations

Troy

A Troy consists of three cards of the same rank, with the highest combination being A-A-A and the lowest being 2-2-2.

Colour Run

This combination entails three consecutive cards of the same suit. The highest possible runs are A-K-Q and A-2-3. Following them are K-Q-J, Q-J-10, and descending to the least valuable option of 4-3-2.

Run

A Run involves three consecutive cards in rank but not necessarily in the same suit. Sequences such as A-K-Q and A-2-3 are considered highest, while K-Q-J ranks below them and so on until reaching the lowest option of 4-3-2.

Color

A Color consists of three cards of the same suit that do not form a sequence. In order to determine superiority among Colors, compare the highest card values first followed by the second-highest cards if needed and so forth. For example, J-9-2 beats J-8-7 due to the higher middle card (9 over 8). The most valuable Color combination is A-K-J within a single suit, while the least valuable is 5-3-2.

Pair

Two cards of equal rank alongside one card of a different rank constitute a Pair combination. To ascertain the highest Pair, compare the pairs first before considering single cards if necessary.
